Mr Whippy-Inspired Ice Cream
Who doesn't love the classic 99 ice cream? The ultimate in summer vibes, you'll be amazed at how creamy this recipe is!

Ingredients
- 4 egg yolks
- 3.5oz caster sugar
- 8fl. oz double cream
- 5fl. oz whole milk
- 1 tbsp vanilla bean paste
Instructions
Step 1
Beat together your egg and caster sugar in a hob-safe pan until the caster sugar has almost fully dissolved
Step 2
Add the rest of your ingredients and mix to combine
Step 3
Pop on a low heat and stir continuously until your mixture reaches 75°c
Step 4
Transfer mixture to empty tub and suspend the tub in an ice bath until the mixture has cooled
Step 5
Place lid on tub and freeze for 24 hours, ensuring mixture is level
Step 6
Remove tub from freezer, remove lid, then place tub in outer bowl. Install paddle into outer bowl lid and lock the lid assembly on the outer bowl. Place bowl assembly on motor base and twist the handle right to raise the platform and lock in place
Step 7
Select gelato
Step 8
Once processing is complete, spoon into a cone or decant into a piping bag for the proper ‘mr whippy’ effect. Finish with a chocolate flake and strawberry sauce
