Summer
Gin Colada
This Gin Colada is a fun take on the original summer rum based drink, the Piña Colada. Made with Blackwoods Vintage Dry Gin, fresh pineapple juice, and coconut cream
Notes: If you can't get your hands on frozen pineapple then replace with fresh and add in an additional 1/4-1/2 cup of ice cubes. To spice things up a bit try blending in 1/4″ piece of peeled fresh root ginger
Ingredients
- 2.6oz pure pineapple juice
- 0.9oz-1.8oz Blackwoods Vintage Dry Gin
- 1.8oz coconut cream
- 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice
- 4.4oz (about 5 chunks) frozen pineapple
- 9oz ice cubes
Optional decorations
- Your choice pineapple chunks
- Your choice fresh cherries
- Your choice toasted coconut
Instructions
Step 1
Blend together all of the Gin Colada ingredients (except for the ice cubes) on the ‘Frozen Drinks' setting until fully combined. Add the ice and pulse a few times until the ice cubes become crushed
Step 2
Pour into a glass and top with the optional toppings if you wish!
