Ingredients

For the hot chocolate

  • 0.22 gallons whole milk
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 whole star anise
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 3oz dark chocolate drops or dark chocolate, roughly chopped
  • 0.88oz cocoa powder
  • 0.53oz caster sugar

Optional toppings

  • Canned squirty cream
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Chopped chocolate
  • 2 tsp chopped crystalised ginger

Instructions

Step 1
Place all ingredients in the pitcher and secure the lid.   

Step 2
Select MANUAL, COOK, and set temperature to HIGH. Cook for 25 minutes, pulsing every 5 minutes.  

Step 3
When the program is complete, strain the hot chocolate into four mugs and top with squirty cream, marshmallows, chopped chocolate and ginger.
