Pear & Chocolate Crumble
Crumbles are such a delicious comfort food. Try this seasonal version with a chocolatey twist and it won’t disappoint! Its perfect as a dessert or a breakfast treat. It can be eaten cold or easily reheated.
Ingredients
- 24.5oz pears
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp water
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 juice of lemon
For the crumble
- 6.13oz gluten free oats
- 2.1oz vegan butter, room temp
- 1.58fl. oz maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 0.7oz cacao powder
- 1.05oz ground almonds
- 0.7oz dark chocolate chips
Instructions
Step 1
Peel and core the pears, then cut them into quarter slices
Step 2
Add the chopped pears, maple syrup, water, cinnamon, ginger, vanilla and lemon to your Foodi saucepan
Step 3
Cover and cook for 15 minutes over a medium heat, stirring regularly
Step 4
Preheat the oven to 160oc
Step 5
To make the crumble: mix all the ingredients, minus the vegan butter, together in a bowl
Step 6
Use your hands to rub the vegan butter into the crumble mix until evenly combined
Step 7
Pour the cooked pears into a oven dish
Step 8
Top it with the crumble mixture
Step 9
Bake for 25 minutes
Step 10
Great served with dairy free yoghurt or ice cream
