Ingredients

  • 14oz plain flour
  • 7oz warm milk
  • 1.5oz dry yeast
  • 1.4oz sugar
  • 1.4oz softened butter
  • 1 egg
  • A pinch of salt

For the filling

  • 1.4oz softened butter
  • 1.4oz brown sugar
  • 70g pecan nuts (finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

Instructions

Step 1
In a medium sized bowl, add warm milk, sugar and yeast. Stir until yeast and sugar dissolved. Set bowl in a warm place and allow yeast to activate. This will take 2-3 minutes. Your yeast is activated when foam starts forming on top of mixture. Then add butter and egg

Step 2
In a large bowl, add flour, salt and pour in yeast mixture. Combine well, then place dough on a floured surface and knead for approximately 2 minutes or until completely smooth. Place dough back in the bowl, cover with a wet tea towel and leave in a warm place. Allow to proof for 1 hour

Step 3
When dough has doubled in size, place on floured surface and roll out into an approximately 35x25cm rectangle. (cca 0,5cm thick)

Step 4
Brush dough with melted butter, sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Tightly roll up dough starting at shorter side of the rectangle and then carefully slice into 3cm wide slices

Step 5
Place cinnamon rolls on lightly floured tray and allow to rise for additional 20 minutes

Step 6
On your Ninja Foodi Health Grill && Air Fryer, ensure the pot is installed but grill plate is removed. Select BAKE, set temperature to 180°C and set time to 18 minutes. Select START/STOP to begin preheating

Step 7
Once unit has beeped to signify it has preheated, open lid, lightly spray with baking spray and add cinnamon rolls. Make sure you leave at least 1cm gap in between rolls as they will expand during cooking. Close lid to begin cooking.

Step 8
When cooking has completed, remove cinnamon rolls and allow to cool down. Sprinkle with icing sugar.
